Hi, Perry here.  If you’re looking for a way to get the best entertainment value for your dollar, I’m glad you found this site.  I’m going to tell you how I found a way to get rid of my cable and satellite television bills for good while still having more programming to watch than I could ever have time for.

I’m a writer.  I spend a ton of time in front of the computer every day.  It gets boring sometimes, and I’d like to have some entertainment in the office besides music.  I thought about getting a TV in here, but it was kind of a hassle (for complicated reasons involving cable).  It was just a headache to run wires through walls and all of that.  I thought – there must be a better way.  I thought I could get a TV tuner for computer working, but there are only a few channels where I live. so that wouldn’t help much.  And then I remembered that there’s a lot of Tv On The Internet

And there is – if you don’t mind spending hours looking for it.  I mean, if you want ABC streaming TV, you go to their Website.  If you want something from fox, you go somewhere else.  That’s a headache.  I mean, what am I going to do, bookmark a hundred channels in my browser?

Well, I did a bit of web searching, looking up terms like "tv through computer", or "connect tv to internet" and it took a while, but I found exactly what I was looking for – and it wasn’t some weird TV connection to PC or anything, it was a piece of computer software.

Apparently, there are some software programs out there that collect all of the TV programming that’s available on the Web in one place.  In fact, if you get the right program, you can get up to 4500 channels at once, all on your computer!

I checked it out and it was pretty amazing.  You just download the software and you can watch news, sports, movies, music videos and more, from nearly 100 different countries.  I didn’t even know that there were 100 countries with television, LOL.  Want to get TV on laptops?  It will work on them, too.

And you just sort through what you like, clicking on the "sports" menu or the movies menu or the TV shows menu, and pick out what you want to watch. Can’t watch it now?  Get this – the software comes with a built-in DVR (digital video recorder) so you can record stuff now and watch it later.  There’s even a ton of foreign language stuff, which I’ve been using to brush up on my Spanish for when I head down to Cabo later this year.

Here’s the best part – NO subscriptions!  You pay one low price and you get 4500 channels of TV and you don’t have to pay again.

With this software, you can easily fill up your hard drive with streaming movies, sports, or whatever you like.  With a few simple cables that you can buy just about anywhere, a TV computer connection is possible, too. That means that you can watch high def programs on your big screen TV if you like.  The TV connection to PC isn’t all that difficult; it’s usually just one HDMI or VGA cable that you can pick up at Wal-Mart.

The software isn’t perfect, though.  Sometimes there’s stuff I’d like to watch that I can’t find or is blacked out where I live. It’s rare, but it happens.  And of course, you have to remember to set the thing to record something if you actually want to record! (I forget that sometimes.)  Some stuff that you can get on cable or satellite won’t be available over the Internet, but there’s a ton of stuff that is.

All in all, this is a pretty cool product, and it solved my problems about how to get TV for computers.  You might want to check it out.
